All 37 rooms have private bathrooms and AC — this is a concrete-and-brick property, not a hut camp. Flat-screen TVs with satellite channels in some rooms. A year-round outdoor pool. A bar that serves alcohol. A restaurant for breakfast and dinner. A supermarket on-site for supplies.
Crazy Horse is the camp for guests who want to use camp vocabulary but sleep in actual hotel rooms.
Crazy Horse sits in the Ras Shitan area, set back slightly from the beach with a garden between the rooms and the water. The focus is inward as much as outward — toward the pool and the social areas — as much as toward the sea.
The view is the standard Ras Shitan panorama: Gulf of Aqaba, Saudi mountains, the wide sky. You get it from the beach chilling areas, each of which has a power socket and a light built in.
Morning: continental breakfast, then the beach for snorkeling. The chilling areas have power sockets if you need to work while watching the sea.
Afternoon: pool. It’s a year-round outdoor pool and it earns its place on a hot day.
Evening: the bar. Then dinner. Then the beach at night if the group is still moving.
The camp operates with a professional reception desk and a team consistently described as helpful and friendly. Mohamed at reception is named in multiple reviews. This is not personal hosting in the Bedouin sense; it is service delivery, and by all accounts it works.
