On Your Feet
Trail or approach shoes with ankle support
Granite on the Abbas ascent is loose in places. Flat soles are hard on joints on descent.
Sandals or camp shoes
For the evening at camp.

The dry air is deceptive. You lose water faster than you feel it.
Insulating mid-layer — fleece or light down
Nights in the high Sinai drop sharply even in shoulder season.

The summit ridge catches wind. It will matter.
Hydration
