Tash and friends, Will you be our founding customers?
Two custom-designed itineraries that balance hiking with beach chilling. and offers to mitigate the risk of being first.
Sinai: As the Bedouin Live It
There are no tour buses or souvenir shops here. This is Sinai as the local Bedouin experience it: ancient paths winding between granite giants and golden sand beaches where you sleep to the hum of the waves.
Itinerary 1: Granite Giants & Golden Sands
7 Days (3 Days Beach / 4 Days Hiking)

Days 1, 2, & 3: The Eco-Lodge Experience
I will meet you and your transport at Sharm El Sheikh Airport. From there, we take a 2.5-hour drive to Basata Eco-Lodge, with as many stops as you like along the way.
The Vibe: Wake up to a sunrise that inspires profound feelings. Snorkel and play as long as the sun is out.
The Stay: You will stay in a chalet designed by world-renowned sustainable architects, hosted by the man who built the very first accommodation in these parts. If you prefer, you may choose a hut right on the beach.

Day 4: Into the Wild
We pack our bags and supplies into Uncle Gomaa’s 4x4.
Meet Uncle Gomaa: Born and raising his family here, his lineage on this land extends back 14 generations. He guides the truck through the wadis effortlessly. You are safe in his hands; he is bound by tradition to indulge the guest and understands the responsibility deep in his bones.
The Shift: After two hours of driving through awe-inspiring landscapes, we reach the "Gate"—two granite mountains. Here, Abdulkareem and Barghout (the lead camel) are waiting for us.
The Hike Begins: We load the supplies while Barghout grunts and moans in revolt before standing up to lead the way. We walk between the granite giants until sunset, reaching the Ksoreya water spring to camp, dine, and sleep.

Day 5: Solitude in the Wadis
We hike through the wadis (valleys between mountain peaks that were once ancient rivers) which open up to wide vistas.
The Experience: There is no way to get lost here today; the road between the mountains is obvious. This allows you to walk for a full day completely alone with the mountains if you wish. I will be behind you, and Abdulkareem with Barghout will be in front, ensuring everyone is safe while you enjoy the silence.

Day 6: The Hidden Jungle
Today, the landscape changes. We walk through water and heavy vegetation—sometimes it feels like a jungle. Palm groves dot the way, and if we are lucky (usually in April), we might get a chance to swim in a natural spring pool.
By noon, the mountains open up. Far away, you will see the road, feeling as though you have been away so long you forgot the real world existed.

Day 7: The Royal Treatment
For your final day, we head to the Coral Sea Waterworld, a luxury all-inclusive hotel in Sharm El Sheikh where my pharmacy has operated for 20 years. I will ensure you are treated like kings. Rest and recollect your experience before heading home the next day.
Itinerary 2: The High Mountains & Saint Catherine

Day 1: The Guardians of the Monastery
The History: Sheikh Mousa and his sons are the heads of the Jebeliya tribe. In the middle ages, their ancestors were sent by the Emperor to protect the Saint Catherine Monastery from raids.
The Day: Visit the monastery at noon, explore the city, and meet the people. Sleep well, because at dawn, we move.

Day 2: The Secret Garden
At dawn, we hike to a secret garden deep in the mountains. The hike is not easy, but the scenery is from another world. We reach the garden at noon and sleep there, surrounded by orchards of peach, almond, palm, and olive trees. It is still and quiet.

Day 3: Sunrise at Mount Abbas
Before the sun rises, we hike up Mount Abbas.
The View: We watch the sunrise from the peak. If we are lucky, low clouds will move beneath your feet, catching the golden rays.
Breakfast: We dine on the ruins of a palace Abbas Pasha Helmy attempted to build for his health, seeking the clean air and holiness of the region. He passed away before finishing it, so you will likely have the place to yourself.
Camp: We descend to Farsh Al Rommana, a refuge with a bathroom and shelter, to set up camp and have dinner.

Day 4: The Mother of Happiness
We circle back through new areas until we reach a geological intersection where we may see other people for the first time.
Meet Om El Saad: This is the refuge of Om El Saad ("Mother of Happiness"). She fled an abusive husband 25 years ago, built the water reservoirs herself, and smokes like a chimney. She bosses the guides around while they use her facility to cook. Everyone passing brings her news and supplies.
The Night: We dine here and set up camp. We can even use the "cold shower" (a faucet and a hose).

Day 5,6 & 7: Descent to the Coast
We wake early, hike back through the secret gardens of Wadi Zwatein, and return to Saint Catherine. Your transport will be waiting while you shower and have lunch at Sheikh Mousa Camp. We then leave early for the beach—much needed by now.
We head to Beer Sueir to stay at the Aqua Sun Resort.
The Place: This redefines luxury by providing comfort and warmth on a wide, golden sand beach with breathtaking views. It is never crowded; you can walk for hours and meet no one. In my view, this is the perfect beach.
Relaxation: Enjoy the stillness and the food. I will always be max 30 minutes away and available by phone if you need anything.

The Network: You aren't alone; local gardeners and herders form a living safety net around you.
Camping: We provide mats, backrests, and all cooking gear.
Support Team: One chaperone (me) and one Bedouin guide with 2 camels.
Transport: If it is just the two of you, transport is in a Toyota HiAce minibus to carry all gear.
